Sober Curious Yoga School
Are you ready to take the next step in your sober curious journey?
If you're someone who is ready to transform their life and create a life they don't need alcohol to escape from, Sober Curious Yoga School is for you.
Alcohol sales have spiked in the pandemic, and so have mental health struggles, feelings of isolation, and disconnection. But with that, people are waking up and searching for solutions, and a massive wave is beginning of Sober Curiosity.
I’m Alexandra McRobert, and I like to introduce myself as a former-party girl turned Sober Yoga Girl. I took a 28-day-break from drinking alcohol in April 2019, and I’ve been sober ever since. Quitting alcohol completely changed my life, and was the best thing I’ve ever done. I am now the founder of The Mindful Life Practice - a virtual soul center for yoga, meditation, community and coaching. I’m also the host of the Sober Yoga Girl podcast, and the creator of Sober Curious Yoga.
Sober Curious Yoga began a year ago and the interest grew quickly, massively. There was a need for a program to help individuals create a life they don't need alcohol to escape from - using philosophy of yoga to redesign their lives. Sober Curious Yoga has already transformed the lives of hundreds of people - helping them find balanced, purposeful, alcohol free lives. See some of our members feedback below...
"I found Alex McRobs and Sober Curious Yoga after I had gotten sober. I'd gone down a rabbit hole of Instagram following yoga and sober hashtags when suddenly I saw a comment Alex had made on a post. I messaged her and joined Sober Curious Yoga and immediately fell in love with the community.
I found Alex via a Facebook group, or she found me I can’t remember! Anyway the stars aligned and I started to think about trying yoga. I felt a great desire to try something new while also quitting alcohol. So from June 2020, I’ve done yoga almost every single day I think and on the odd day I’ve not done it I’ve dreamed about it! Alex had been so supportive to me throughout, always there always available as a coach, a friend and a role model who gets what this thing called “life” is all about. Stopping drinking alcohol has been life changing, but being a yogi and training and learning with Alex is right up there with one of the very best things to happen to me :-)))
@alexmcrobs for inviting me to the Sober Curious Yoga challenge to get me started.
Are you sober curious? This movement is growing - come join the fun!
The bottom line is: Sober Curious Yoga School is transforming lives all over the world, and we're only getting started. Join our community and transform your relationship with alcohol, too.
Disclaimer: As with anything in life - you get what you give. While we provide all the classes, workbooks, material and support to transform your life, ultimately, you will only see results if you show up and are committed to your own healing journey. But if you do show up and put in the work, everyone I've seen who's been truly committed to change has completely transformed their life through SCYS.
Disclaimer 2: While I am a certified life coach, and have personal experience with sobriety, I am not a trained psychiatrist, psychotherapist, or addictions counsellor. If you feel that you are in need of counselling, AA, or therapy, this is not the right program for you. Our leaders are trained to provide peer support with coaching skills. However, this program can be a wonderful supplement to any other programs you may be part of.
