TAKE YOUR PRACTICE DEEPER IN INDIA...

Step away from your usual routine and make space to study, sit, and reflect.

Our India Philosophy Immersion brings together the study of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and meditation in a 30-hour continuing education course (CEC). It’s an invitation to explore yoga’s philosophical foundations and consider how these teachings can inform your practice, your teaching, and everyday life.

And when evening comes, there’s space for a different kind of experience: we’re within walking distance of the kirtan festival in Rishikesh, so you can join the chanting and music at night.

GIVE THE TEACHINGS YOUR TIME AND ATTENTION...

Perhaps you’ve encountered the Yoga Sutras in teacher training and wanted more time with them. Perhaps meditation is already part of your life, and you’re ready to explore the philosophy that supports it. Maybe you have never meditated before - and don't know where to begin!

This immersion gives you dedicated time to develop a meditation practice as a beginner - or return to the philosophy with curiosity - and to bring its questions into your own experience.

What does it mean to steady the mind?

How do we work with distraction and habitual patterns?

How might practice shape the way we respond to life?

Let these questions become part of your practice.

STUDY. SIT. REFLECT.

At the heart of this 30-hour Immersion are two connected areas of exploration:

  • Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras
Be introduced to yoga philosophy for the very first time, or deepen your engagement with yoga philosophy and explore its relevance beyond the page.

  • Meditation
Make time for practice alongside study, creating space to observe, reflect, and develop your understanding through experience.

Whether you’re a beginner, deepening your personal practice or continuing your education as a yoga teacher, this is time to nourish your relationship with yoga.

EVENINGS OF KIRTAN, JUST A WALK AWAY

I chose our hotel with intention. Whilst it is not secluded in nature like a typical retreat hotel might be, that is with intention - it was chosen because it is steps away from the ashram that is hosting the annual Kirtan Fest in Rishikesh.

Your experience can continue beyond the course.

With the kirtan festival within walking distance (two minutes walk!), you’ll have the option to spend your evenings immersed in chanting, music, and community.

Study and meditate during the immersion, then walk to the festival in the afternoon with other students in the retreat. It’s an opportunity to experience both quiet contemplation and the shared energy of devotional song during your time in Rishikesh.

OUR ACCOMMODATION

Our hotel is a boutique, four-star hotel with a yoga shala that we will have access to throughout the retreat.  It is a two minutes walk to the Kirtan Fest.It is an urban hotel, meaning that it does not have views of nature like you might expect of a retreat center - however, this is intensional so that we are right in walking distance of Kirtan fest!
