Bali Bhakti Series 5: Mantras for the Heart

Some practices speak to the body. Some speak to the mind. Mantra speaks directly to the heart. Mantras for the Heart is a 12-week devotional yoga series where each class is centered around a single sacred mantra - not as background sound, but as the practice itself. Each week, we stay with one mantra. We chant it, move with it, breathe with it, and allow it to work on us over time. This is yoga as remembrance. Sound as sādhanā. Practice as devotion.
Bali Bhakti Series 6: Authenticity

Who am I beneath the roles, expectations, and performances I have learned to carry?
Authenticity is a 12-week journey through the heart of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion. This series explores authenticity not as self-remembrance. Together we will explore themes of shame, belonging, truth, softness, courage, grief, surrender, and the sacred work of becoming fully ourselves.
Resting with the Sutras 1.1 - 1.4

Each practice is centered around a single sutra from Patañjali’s Yoga Sūtras, approached not as something to analyze or master, but something to feel, embody, and sit with. We’ll begin with a short dharma talk and chanting of the sutra, allowing the sound and meaning of the Sanskrit to set the tone for the practice. From there, we move into a gentle yin sequence, holding long, supported shapes while exploring how the teaching of the sutra shows up in the body, the breath, and the inner landscape. After asana, you’ll be guided into a 20-minute silent mantra meditation, giving space for the sutra to settle beneath thought and effort — where real integration happens.
Resting with the Sutras 1.5 - 1.15

This 10-week journey through Patañjali’s Yoga Sutras (1.5–1.14) explores the nature of the mind and the path to inner freedom. Beginning with the five types of mental fluctuations (vṛttis), we learn how perception, thought patterns, memory, and imagination shape our experience of reality. As the weeks unfold, we move from awareness into practice — cultivating abhyāsa (consistent effort) and vairāgya (detachment) as the twin pillars of transformation. This series invites students to observe their inner world with clarity, compassion, and discipline, ultimately guiding them back to their true nature beyond the fluctuations of the mind.
Resting with the Sutras 1.15 - 1.27

What We’ll Explore
Weeks 1–2: Vairāgya: We begin with Patanjali’s teachings on non-attachment. These weeks practices will invite inquiry around: attachment, identity, addiction and compulsion, longing and control, and witnessing rather than reacting.
Weeks 3–4: Samadhi: Patanjali describes stages of meditative absorption, from concentration and inquiry to bliss and stillness beyond thought. During the classes, themes will revolve around: meditation and concentration, subtle awareness, bliss and spaciousness, the inner journey of yoga.
Weeks 5–8: Faith, Practice & Spiritual Momentum :
These sutras remind us that awakening unfolds through faith, courage, remembrance, focused practice and wisdom. We explore how consistent practice and how intensity, sincerity and devotion influence our path.
Weeks 9–12: Īśvara, Devotion & Om
After discipline and meditation, Patanjali offers another doorway: surrender. These weeks explore: Īśvara Praṇidhāna,the guru principle, divine consciousness, Bhakti and devotion, mantra as meditation, Om as sacred sound, and refuge.
