The Mindful Life Practice Book Club

We are starting a MLP book club hosted by teacher-librarian and MLP member Em! This book club won't start until the weekend of May 23rd, giving you time to order the first book.


Emily is new to yoga, but isn't new to reading. After 10 years of international classroom teaching in Egypt, Vietnam and Kuwait, Emily landed her dream job as an elementary school librarian in Kuwait. She shares her love of reading with her students every day, while striving to build a reading community. In her free time, Emily loves to read a variety of styles and is excited about leading us through some books about yoga and mindfulness.


The first book we've chosen to read is Meditations from the Mat. Fun fact: Meditations from the Mat is Alex's favorite book ever. If you've ever been to her yoga class, you've probably heard her reference this book and quote this teacher. She had the privilege of taking a teacher training this past summer with Rolf Gates, the author of this book - see pictures below
